“Stop living a lie. The catastrophe that happened to us is the result of a great self-deception. It is necessary to look reality in the eye, speak directly to each other, not hide anything,” Mirzoyan told journalists.
The minister noted that he didn’t want to respond to the criticism of the Armenian opposition regarding negotiations on the normalization of relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan. The minister asked to explain to him how it turned out that, since the 1990s, negotiations or correspondence with Turkey were conducted periodically, but the society was not informed about this.
“I tell in parliament and from other stands everything that is being negotiated,” he said.
“We are not the first and not the last country that had a long conflict with a neighboring country. We are set for a long-term and stable peace,” Mirzoyan added.
